Celtics Team: Loss…or Gain?

On the blog you will be seeing a lot of my favorite sports team, the Boston Celtics. Here is the latest news on the Celtics:

You may have heard that Celtics player Rajon Rondo, due to a serious injury, is out for the season. Many fans are upset about this, in fact I interveiwed some fans and the majority of them were very unhappy about this. Angry and upset were the main words of the feedback. However some fans thought the opposite. They said that it was better for the team that Rondo left because the Celtics play better together without him. Also, they said that Rondo simply wasn’t the best of point guards. There is only one way to find out if this a Celtics loss or gain: watch the basketball season!!!!

Be sure to comment your opinion about Rondo leaving! Also comment what sports teams you want to see on the blog!

  1. Dear Emily,

Your post about Rondo is really good.
But it’s bad that he is out, because he is very good.

    Good Luck with your blog!

  3. I think it may be too soon to know for sure but thus far….the proof is in the wins. The C’s have won last 3…

    • Dear Cathy/mom,
I have to admit, I am kind of sad the C’s have been winning because that means they are becoming better without Rondo. I liked him as a player and person so I was sad he had to leave. Thanks as always for commenting and for your wise opinion! Love,
      Emily

  6. Dear Emily,
I believe “losing” Rondo hasn’t hurt the team we are 6-1 without him and even without Sullinger (I hope I spelled that right) we are still doing well. The bench is helping out a lot, with Paul Piece and Kevin Garnett (I hope I spelled that right too) not playing as much as the used to, the team still beat the Heat in double OT. Jason Terry, Avery Bradely and Brandon Bass are doing very well and I believe that Jason Terry is doing as well as Ray Allen used to be when he was on the Celtics. To me the next “Big Three” are going to be Jason Terry, Avery Bradely and Brandon Bass I hope one of them will be as good as Larry Bird. I also hope when and if Rondo comes back I hope he is better.

    • Dear Ben,
I really liked Rondo as a team player, but you are right we are doing better without him. The problem with Paul and Kevin is that they are old. They tire out to quickly to give it their all. Recently we won with triple OT so that is impresive. Jason Terry is ggod, but I don’t think as good as Ray Allen. Courtny Lee could be good but he has no effort, it annoys me. Best of luck to the Celtics, lets hope they make it to champions!

      • Dear Emily
I wish them good luck too they are 7th place in the conference, 3rd in their division and overall in 14th place. But to become the best team we have to beat the Heat, OKC, and the Spurs. Who do you think will be in the playoffs to become the World Champions?
        From Ben F

        • Dear Ben,
14th place is pretty good, it could be better though. I definitely think that the Heats will be in the playoffs, I have high hopes for Celtics to be there too. I wonder how it will turn out. You never know, because at the beginning of the season the Celtics were not doing to well.

          • Dear Emily,
I agree with you completely. What do you like the most about the Celtics? And who is your favorute player?
            From Ben F.

          • Dear Ben,
I like the Celtics simply because they are good basketball players. I don’t want to watch a team that stinks, it would be a waste of time. My favorite player is Kevin Garnett. It used to be Rondo but now I realized the team is better without him. Who is your favorite player?

  7. Dear Emily,
I’m sorry I didn’t reply to your last comment, it’s just that the reply button wasn’t there most likely because there wasn’t enough space. But on a better note (ha see what I did there ‘note’ because, I didn’t) my favorite player is either Avery Bradely or Paul Piece because they have been very well on both offense and D which I believe makes a good player. Do you think Doc Rivers is a good couch?
    From Ben F

    • Dear Ben,
I like Avery Bradely and Paul Pierce too. I agree they are strong in both positions. I think Doc Rivers is a good coach, he gets really involved. He has shown conflict with some of the players but I believe that is just the players being ignorant. He really cares about his team doing well. What do you think of Doc Rivers? Also, do you think Paul Pierce is getting to old for the Celtics? He is a good player but he gets tired at the end of games, (sounds like our team). I was thinking of doing a post about it because me and my dad have been noticing it and they were talking about it on the sports network. I need to do another post about the Celtics so I was thinking about doing that.
